Our Indigenous Healing Lodges house Indigenous male and female inmates that are conditionally released and federally sentenced. The facilities centre Indigenous culture and focus on supporting individuals through their transition to become contributing and self-sufficient members of our communities. Currently, we are looking for the right candidates to fill various positions as primary workers at both our male and female facilities.

Urban Indigenous Peacemaker Program - Coordinator

The Peacemaker Coordinator serves as a neutral guide to assist victims/ offenders in the Peacemaking circle process. The peacemaking circle includes Elders, volunteers, identifying the spiritual, religious, cultural practices and how to incorporate this into the circles. The outcome of the circles is a prepared court report with recommendations. The Urban Indigenous Peacemaker Program in Calgary is looking for the right candidate to fill the full time position.

NCSA’s Indigenous Remand/Bail/Court Worker will work out of the Calgary Remand Centre and NCSA Regional Office in Calgary. The aim is to help Indigenous people involved in the criminal justice system to obtain fair, just and equitable, cultural relevant treatment. Currently, NCSA is looking for an individual who will work to ensure Indigenous people understand their rights, obligations to the justice system and, also assist them in their bail application.
