Wâhkômiwêw Connections Program - Navigator

Wâhkômiwêw (wah ko mee wayo) means being connected to people in Cree. Our Navigator will provide support to youth, their parents and caregivers to develop individual healing and connection plans. The plans will build on individual and family strengths to create positive change. Urban Indigenous Peacemaker - Program Coordinator

The Peacemaker Coordinator serves as a neutral guide to assist victims/offenders in the peacemaking circle process. The peacemaking circle includes Elders and volunteers identifying the spiritual, religious, cultural practices and how to incorporate this into the circle. The outcome of the circle is a prepared court report with recommendations. We have the Urban Indigenous peacemaker program in Edmonton and, are looking for the right individual to fill the full-time position.

Native Counselling Services of Alberta (NCSA) northwest regional office provides services to other NCSA offices within the area. The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the area managers and other offices under that region. NCSA’s Indigenous Healing Lodges – Stan Daniels Healing Centre and Buffalo Sage Wellness House are Community Residential and Section 81 centres for male and female facilities. Currently we are looking for ideal candidates to work various shifts as primary workers. The primary workers ensure the safety of residents, staff and community by working and supporting staff on a ongoing basis to follow their release plans toward a healthy holistic lifestyle. Currently we are looking for both female and male individuals who are committed and available to work various shifts as required.

Buffalo Sage Wellness House is a Community Residential and Section 81 Healing Lodge that houses Conditionally Released and Federally Sentenced Indigenous inmates. Residents must be willing to learn about their Indigenous cultures working with Elders and are encouraged to participate in ceremonies. The healing lodge includes common rooms, program rooms, ceremonial room, central dining area, hobby room.
